If you've chosen one of our North Cyprus villas for rent to the east of Kyrenia, then you are close to some superb beaches. Here are our favourite beaches near Esentepe, Ozankoy and Catalkoy.

Alagadi Turtle Beach is a popular public beach, just a five minute drive along the coast road from your holiday villa rental in Esentepe, and around eight minutes' drive from Catalkoy. We also offer villas to rent in Alagadi as well. Alagadi is the longest sandy beach in the whole of North Cyprus, with wonderfully calming views of the sea and of the magnificent Five Finger Mountains behind. It's well worth driving your rental car from your holiday villa anywhere in North Cyprus to this lovely beach, as it is a major site for breeding sea turtles.

For a great day out beside the sea on your North Cyprus villa holiday, you can't do better than the Acapulco Beach Club run by Acapulco Hotel. This spotlessly clean beach has everything you'll need for a fun family day out, from sun loungers to water sports, beach bars to showers, snack bars to open air discos at night! The Acapulco is just four minutes drive from Catalkoy, eight minutes drive from Ozankoy and around ten minutes drive from your holiday villa in Esentepe.

The Vogue Beach Club lies just beyond the Acapulco, and for those who prefer a more relaxed beach atmosphere, it's an ideal beach for a day out from your North Cyprus holiday villa. The ice cream is wonderful here too!

Lara Beach is a great beach for children to explore on their North Cyprus villa holiday. This pretty Northern Cyprus beach has sand at one end and smooth rocks with rock pools at the other, ideal for kids to climb over, or their parents to sunbathe on!

Escape Beach Club is a superb beach for a day away from the pool at your North Cyprus holiday villa, or during your Kyrenia villa holiday. Children will love the golden sands and shallow water, and parents will be thrilled with the selection of fun activities from jet skis to scuba diving. The Escape Beach Club also has a popular restaurant and at night transforms into one of North Cyprus' hottest club venue. The Escape Beach Club just three minutes drive from Northern Cyprus villa rentals in Alsancak, or five minutes drive from holiday villas in Karaoglanoglu.

Sunset Beach is the local beach for Alsancak, just one minute drive from the centre, or three minutes drive from your Northern Cyprus rental villa at Lapta.

The beaches on the Karpas Peninsula have to be seen to be believed, and are well worth a day's trip from your holiday villa in North Cyprus. The beaches around Bogaz and on the Peninsula itself are not as developed as those either side of Kyrenia, so don't expect a range of facilities. Instead, enjoy the uncrowded golden sands, hidden coves, and secluded bays that you will probably have all to yourself, all day.

The 'must-see' beach on the south side of North Cyprus' Karpas Peninsula is Karpas Golden Beach, miles of golden sand backed with romantic sand dunes, and home to breeding sea turtles. If you want to explore the beaches of the Karpas, head out early from your North Cyprus holiday villa, so you don't have to drive in the heat of the sun.
