Everything went so smooth for us on this holiday, i couldn't have wanted a better place to stay!
Was a nice little villa with great views was a really great holiday.
Everything leading up to the holiday was done extremely professionally and any requests or support both pre-holiday and during our holiday we managed extremely well. The owner was always available via email and ready and on-hand to answer any questions which gave real confidence. Both myself, my partner and our children loved the villa, it was a real home from home feel. The property was clean, comfortable and would recommend this to anyone wanting to travel to Cyprus and looking to stay in the northern part of Cyprus. Upon arrival we were visited by Jacquie and Barry who work for Villa Book, they advised us on where to go and where to eat and generally getting around, really helpful. If I had anything to comment on I would suggest that a map where the Villa is, and where local eateries are and the cuisine they offer would be even more helpful than the written down advice given to us from Barry and Jacquie. Lots of places were mentioned but when you get alot of info at the beginning of your holiday, it's a lot to take in. maybe a 'Welcome Pack' of the area and all eateries and places to go might be an option, but like I say the verbal support from them was great. Recommendations Restaurants Silver Rocks. Doesn't look much from the outside, but we had a lovely meal one evening and also spent a couple of hours there one afternoon. It overlooks the sea and is a very nice place to eat and relax. Wild Duck. A must for breakfast. English speaking and very very cheap. For 5 of us and full English breakfasts with drinks, was just over £20. Getting Around Get a car. I wasn't going to get one but was advised to get one and very glad we did. Kyrenia - evening market. Not may stalls but a nice evening walk after dinner on the Marina. Positives Villa was big, spacious, clean, quiet location and ideal for a family. We had loads of fun. Advise and support from Barry and Jacquie was as mentioned really good and like the owner always on-hand if needed. My only advise would be that a map of where the villa is and the eateries around. Negatives Nothing to really speak of, but the kids mentioned the WiFi was sometimes a little temperamental, but nothing to write home about. Baked bird poo would often be around the walkway having falling from the roof, but sweeping it everyday would keep it clean, but again no major issue at all. The villa is large, extremely well maintained and in a quite setting, just outside the town. Beautifully decorated with a lovely private pool and shaded outside seating area, to avoid the midday sun. We would highly recommend this property and its location to explore the surrounding area.
The villa is in a nice quiet location and was perfect for our family of four. Inside it is clean and spacious with everything you need. The pool is a generous size and provided us with some well needed shade in the afternoon. The owner arranged transfers and car hire for us, both were provided with excellent service and were good value too - really took the hassle out of trying to find the villa at night. The car was delivered and collected on time without any hidden extras. Overall we had a great time on Northern Cyprus and found eating out etc to be exceptionally good value - lots of good restaurants and bars. Would not hesitate to return to Northern Cyprus and this lovely villa.
Mild Cyprus winters with lots of sunshine. Enjoyed my short term stay in Villa Abbey View even it was too cold to go to the pool but very sunny and warm outside. Enough to cook something for my partner and myself and have a lunch outside. For dinner we normally went out and had a choice of local, Indian, European and Italian cuisine. Shopping in Kyrenia is also something to consider in winter. We went out to St.Hilarion castle and Bellapais Abbey and really loved old Byzantine architecture and style. We would love to come again now in summer for next holiday.
Great place to spend our vacation. No regrets at all! Spacious villa with all modern facilities, furniture, big lounge, bedrooms, kitchen. Very nice garden area, built-in barbeque is a great addition to villa and its pool is just enough to cool down and have a little swim around. Optimal place to enjoy summer in Cyprus. Recommended to all.
